Description

Summary

Chapel Cottage is a beautiful Grade II listed cottage, which dates back to the 17th century, and is located in the heart of the picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-Water. Known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’, due to the River Windrush that flows peacefully though the village, Bourton has an abundance of attractions, including Birdland, the Cotswold Motor Museum, and the Model Village. There are also a wide range of traditional pubs, shops and restaurants, making Bourton perfect for guests of all ages. The village is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, and the many picturesque market towns and villages of the Cotswolds are all within easy reach, as are further afield places, such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford and Bath.

The owners of Chapel Cottage have carefully preserved the traditional character of the property, whilst creating a real home from home. The many character features include stone mullion windows, exposed oak beams and Cotswold stone walls, flagstone flooring, and a large inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove. These features are complemented by modern facilities, such as wireless internet access, a Smart TV, a second TV in the cosy eaves of the cottage, and a well presented kitchen.

Chapel Cottage sleeps 4+1 people, in two bedrooms (with the +1 option being a day bed in the second floor eaves room), with a family bathroom. There are outdoor tables and chairs at both the front of the cottage and in a pretty courtyard garden at the back, allowing the summer sun to be captured throughout the day. The cottage is perfect for a family, a couple or a group of friends seeking an idyllic, relaxing break in one of the prettiest, best located villages in the Cotswolds.
