Built from classic, honey coloured Cotswold stone and dating back to the 17th century, the property boasts many character features including mullion windows, flagstone floors, exposed Cotswold stone walls and a large inglenook fireplace. The character of the house is complemented by the contemporary décor and modern facilities, including wireless internet access, Smart TV with DVD player, and a well-equipped kitchen. There is an enclosed terraced rear garden, with stunning views over the Blockley Valley from the top level, and quiet, on-street parking is freely available.


Hainault House stands proudly on the raised pavements of Blockley, one of the larger villages of the Cotswolds. This peaceful and picturesque village benefits from having two pubs and a community owned village shop & café, as well as a historic Norman church in the centre of the village.

Blockley is surrounded by rolling countryside which forms part of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with plenty of walks on its doorstep to enjoy. The village is ideally situated for exploring the many lovely towns and villages of the North Cotswolds, including Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Campden and Stow-on-the-Wold, and further afield destinations such as Blenheim Palace, Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford are also within easy reach for day trips.

The front door opens into the ground floor living room, off which are the following rooms:
Living room The oldest part of the house, the living room is full of character with a beautiful flagstone floor, exposed Cotswold stone walls and a mullion window with wooden shutters. This room contains:

Bedroom 4 Another well presented bedroom in the eaves with views from the dormer window looking across the rooftops to the countryside beyond. This bedroom contains:

Steps lead up from the back door to the first garden level and further steps continue on up to the second garden level, from which there are fabulous views across the Blockley Valley. In total there are 51 steps to the top of the back garden. There is an outdoor table and seating in the enclosed garden, plus a charcoal barbecue. Parking is available at the front of the property, on the quiet road past Hainault House.
