Summary
Hope Cottage is a picturesque Cotswold stone property which sleeps six guests, in three beautiful bedrooms, with two spacious bathrooms. The property boasts a wealth of traditional character features including flagstone floors, oak beams and doors, exposed Cotswold stone walls and a Cotswold stone fireplace with a roaring wood burning stove. These period features are complemented by its stylish décor and modern facilities such as its wireless internet access, Smart TV with DVD player and well-equipped kitchen. There is a well presented garden at the front and side of the cottage and quiet on-street parking is freely available.
Location
Hope Cottage is tucked away in the quintessentially English village of Longborough, an unspoilt village just two miles north of the famous market town of Stow-on-the-Wold. Longborough benefits from having a popular country pub, a community owned village shop and café, a historic parish church and even an opera house which puts on classic performances during the summer months. Situated in the heart of the North Cotswolds, the village is well-placed for exploring the many chocolate-box towns and villages nearby including Chipping Campden, Chipping Norton, The Slaughters, Bourton-on-the-Water, Blockley and Broadway.
Longborough is located on the side of a hill and offers glorious views over the Evenlode Valley. Surrounded by fantastic scenery, there are many walks and cycle trails on its doorstep to explore, including a pleasant circular route over to Moreton-in-Marsh and back via Bourton-on-the-Hill, passing close to the attractions of Batsford Arboretum and Sezincote House, the latter being home to a Mogul Indian Palace. Further afield destinations such as Bath, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon are easily accessible for day trips.

Other Guest Feedback:
-"Very comfortable stay at Hope Cottage Would revisit.", Margaret, December 2018
-"Beautiful house and glorious garden to enjoy in the summer sunshine. Kids loved finding frogs in the pond and the quirky bedroom with the loft. Wonderful farmhouse kitchen with a Rayburn - surprisingly easy to use. Super village location - a peaceful break from our busy daily lives. Thank you!", Cath, July 2018
-"Hope Cottage was a delight. Perfectly furnished and decorated, we thoroughly enjoyed the garden and barbecue too - lucky with the weather! Highly recommend the village pub and the community shop next door was great. We would all love to return (for longer this time). One tiny thing - the kitchen could do with a cafetiere :) (otherwise the kitchen was extremely well equipped).", Rebecca, June 2018
-"Beautiful cottage. Loved everything about it. Very spacious with a nice conservatory and beautiful garden too. Mustn’t forget the luxury en-suite bathroom off the main bedroom where you can lie in the bath and gaze at the village church. A most friendly village and a warm welcome at The Coach and Horses.", Sandy, May 2018
-"We highly recommend booking Hope Cottage! There are many wonderful cottages in the Cotswold's to book and I ended up selecting Hope because the pictures depicted old world charm, comfort, space and walking distance to a pub. We have never rented in the Cotswold's before and I was uncertain where exactly to stay. The village of Longborough was perfect and the cottage provided us with all we required and then some. Communication was excellent, parking and entering the cottage was easy. We were welcomed with a few items that were greatly appreciated! I was excited to invite some family to visit and stay with us throughout the week. We had great weather and all enjoyed a BBQ and walk around the village. We visited the pub numerous times with family and always felt welcomed and a part of the village. The comfort & space that the cottage provides is perfect! The hiking from Longborough is fantastic; short & long hikes. It is also a very easy drive to Stow, Bourton-on-the-Water & Slaughters which a great places to visit. We did enjoy a day of village hopping and always loved getting back to Hope Cottage - our home away from home for the week. You will not be disappointed - book!”, Tracy, May 2018
- "We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage. The house is beautiful , with the charm of the old and the comfort of a modern home. Everything was perfect: the very comprehensive arrival instructions, the beautiful location nearby many lovely villages, the cleanliness, the very complete equipment of the house. The heating worked perfectly well which was fortunate in this chilly April weather. So did all the installations. The children loved the bedroom in the attic, and the bed of the master bedroom is very comfortable. The village shop next door is charming and deserves a visit but don't count too much on it if you have a big hunger! We would definitely stay there if we go back in this area.", Dior, April 2018
- "The whole experience from booking to the end of the holiday was perfect. All questions asked were answered promptly and spot on. The details of the cottage was perfect in every way. And when we got there it was even better than expected. Just perfect from start to finish and would definitely recommend and book again. Thank you all.", Caroline, February 2018

- "Hope Cottage is a absolutely lovely place. We loved it there. Prefect for driving around to other villages, and for walks. We went on the recommended walk, which was beautiful, with added bonus of a guided tour of a Mogul palace! The village shop was right next door, they even had logs for the fire place. The village pub is a few meters up the road. Prefect Cotswolds experience!", Sigrid, September 2017
