Description
Summary
Little Acorns is an enchanting Grade II listed property which sleeps four guests, in two elegant bedrooms, with a modern family bathroom. Finished to a high standard, this stunning Cotswold stone property has tasteful contemporary décor and modern facilities such as wireless internet access, a Smart TV and a well-equipped galley-style kitchen. The stylish furnishings are complemented by wonderful character features including exposed wooden beams, exposed Cotswold stone walls and a stone fireplace complete with wood burning stove. There is a cosy roof terrace at the rear, and free on-street parking is available close to the property.
Location
Little Acorns is located in the heart of the bustling market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, one of the larger towns of the Cotswolds. Well-known for its range of shops, country inns and fine dining eateries, Stow also plays host to the Farmers' Market which takes place every second Thursday of the month, showcasing fantastic local produce. The impressive market square, Stow’s main feature, is steeped in history and used to host the annual sheep fairs during the height of the Cotswold wool industry.
Stow is the highest of the Cotswold towns and is surrounded by breathtaking countryside, with numerous footpaths and cycle routes on its doorstep to enjoy. It is also well-placed for visiting the many picturesque towns and villages of the North Cotswolds including Chipping Campden, Burford, Lower Slaughter, Broadway and Bourton-on-the-Water, the latter known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ due to the bridges which cross over the River Windrush. Further afield destinations such as Sudeley Castle, Blenheim Palace and Oxford are within easy reach for day trips.

Infants who sleep in a cot do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions, the occupancy figure may only be exceeded by up to two additional infants.

One small dog is accepted, at a cost of £20 per booking.
For the comfort of future guests, we ask that dogs remain out of the bedrooms, stay off the furniture and that no trace of a dog remains after your departure.

Accessibility, health and safety
This is an old, Grade II listed property laid out over three floors, with restricted head height on the second floor and some steps between rooms, all of which could pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility, or carrying babies, both in terms of their general movement and their ability to quickly exit the house in the event of an emergency.
The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk.
Smoking
No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property.
Stow Horse Fair
The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates.
Photographs
In order to provide you with as much detail of our properties as possible, we sometimes use wide angle photography, which can make certain rooms, or spaces, appear larger than they actually are. Wherever possible, we try to include a floorplan, with detailed dimensions of rooms and areas.
If you have any queries regarding the size of any rooms or spaces, please do not hesitate to contact us.
