Description

Summary

Longridge is a large detached property, designed to maximise the beautiful views across the Painswick Valley to the village of Painswick, a mile away from the house. Painswick is one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds, known locally as the 'Queen of the Cotswolds’, and famous for its 99 yew trees in the ancient churchyard. Painswick Valley is part of the beautiful 'Five Valleys' region of the Cotswolds, which contain some of the most spectacular countryside Britain has to offer. The Wysis Way footpath runs right past the house and the Cotswold Way goes through Painswick, on its way from Bath to Chipping Camden. As well as the shops, pubs and restaurants in and around Painswick, the nearby towns of Nailsworth, Stroud, Cirencester and Cheltenham provide a wide range of facilities, and the many beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds are within easy reach. Further afield places are also easily accessible, including the famous spa town of Bath and the dreaming spires of Oxford.

Built from local stone, all of Longridge’s rooms are well proportioned, and the elevated position provides stunning rural views, particularly from the first floor. The house has character features, including wood panelling and a lovely open fire, which are complemented by modern facilities, including wireless internet access, a SMART TV, and a well presented kitchen.

Longridge sleeps seven people in four bedrooms, with two bathrooms and a cloakroom on the first floor. There is a beautiful terraced garden at the rear of the house, as well as a private patio area accessed from the living room, both of which have stunning views of Painswick Valley. The driveway has parking space for five cars. Longridge is the perfect house for a gathering of friends, or a family with older children, who are seeking a relaxing environment surrounded by the beautiful Cotswold countryside.
