This spacious property has a well-designed ground floor living area with a orangery-style dining room with glorious views across the garden and fields beyond.

The property has a range of lovely features, including a wood burning stove, exposed Cotswold stone wall, a piano and framed newspaper cuttings showcasing Nigel Twiston-Davies’ many racing achievements. These features are complemented by modern facilities including wireless internet access, two Freeview TVs, a Wii games console and a hot tub in the garden. The stunning garden is at the rear of the property and plenty of off-street parking is available on the private driveway.


Mucky Cottage is located in the peaceful village of Naunton, a pretty village with a popular pub and golf course. Mucky Cottage itself is set alongside the gallops of Grange Hill Farm, where horse racing enthusiasts will be able to see trainers from the renowned yard of Nigel Twiston-Davies exercising their top-class race horses. The River Windrush meanders through the quaint village and there are many cycle routes and walks on its doorstep, including a section of the Wardens’ Way long distance walking trail.

Naunton is off the beaten track yet is within easy reach of many of the lovely towns and villages of the North Cotswolds, including Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Winchcombe. Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park is in the neighbouring village of Guiting Power, with lots of activities for children of all ages to enjoy, and the regency spa town of Cheltenham is just 13 miles away, home to the prestigious Cheltenham Festival, a must for horse racing fans. Further afield destinations such as Oxford, Blenheim Palace and Stratford-upon-Avon are also easily accessible for day trips.

The extensive grounds cover around half an acre, laid mostly to lawn with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. A patio area borders the orangery-style dining area, with a large table with seating for eight on one side, and a luxurious hot tub on the other (the hot tub can be booked in advance for an additional charge of £100). Set a little way from the house, a sunken patio beneath a beautiful pergola provides a second seating area and has a charcoal barbecue.

The driveway at the front of the house has parking for at least six cars.
