Pear Tree Cottage is a wonderful Cotswold stone property which sleeps six guests, in three bedrooms, with two bathrooms. This 17th century holiday home has retained many of its original character features including exposed Cotswold stone walls, oak beams, a wood burning stove and the original well for the cottage (now safely covered!).

The traditional interior of the cottage has been complemented by modern facilities including wireless internet access, a Smart TV with a basic Sky entertainment package and a well-equipped and contemporary kitchen. There is a glorious garden at the rear of the property and free on-street parking is available close by.

Location

Pear Tree Cottage is located on a quiet road in the heart of the much loved village of Bourton-on-the-Water. Often voted as one of the prettiest villages in England, Bourton has a number of popular pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and shops to enjoy, and a wide range of tourist attractions including the Model Village, the Cotswold Motoring and Toy Museum and Birdland.

Bourton is surrounded by the fabulous countryside which forms the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with many walks and cycle routes to explore, including the challenging Winchcombe to Burford cycle route which passes through Bourton itself. Its central location within the Cotswolds makes it a good base for exploring the other lovely towns and villages in the area, including Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and The Slaughters. Further afield destinations such as Blenheim Palace, Oxford and Bath are easily accessible for day trips.

Accessed via the kitchen, the beautiful enclosed garden is a stunning spot in which to relax in the warmer months after days spent exploring the area. There is an outdoor table with seating for six and a parasol has been provided to cast shade in the summer sun if needed. Though mostly paved, the garden is a haven for wildlife with its leafy shrubs, attractive hanging baskets, potted flowers and delightful flower beds which are dotted amongst the paving stones. There is a garden gate leading out to the side road next to the cottage.

Free on-street parking is usually available outside, or close to, the property.
