Pear Tree Cottage is a gorgeous property which sleeps four guests, in two bedrooms, with a modern family bathroom. The cottage boasts a wealth of character features, including stone mullion windows, exposed wooden beams and two lovely inglenook fireplaces with wood burning stoves.

The character of the cottage is complemented by a mixture of vintage, antique and modern furniture, with facilities including wireless internet access, a Freeview TV, and a DAB radio. Stylish both inside and out, Pear Tree Cottage has beautiful bay windows at the front of the property, creating spacious rooms that are wonderfully cosy in the winter and cool in the summer. A pretty pear tree grows up the front wall and there is a large, stunning garden at the rear of the property. Quiet on-street parking is available in the village.


Pear Tree Cottage is located in the peaceful village of Cherington, a rural hamlet with a village green and the parish church of St Nicolas, a Grade I listed building. The neighbouring village of Avening has two popular pubs, and there is an organic farm shop with a café less than a five minute drive from the cottage. Being within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are many cycle routes and walks to enjoy, including those through the local bluebell woods and those slightly further afield on Minchinhampton Common and the Woodchester Valley.

Cherington has an enviable position in the South Cotswolds, being ideally situated for exploring the popular Cotswold market towns of Tetbury, with its antique shops, Nailsworth, with excellent dining options, Malmesbury, with its historic Abbey, and Cirencester, the capital of the Cotswolds. In addition to the lovely towns and villages nearby, there are many tourist attractions, including the Cotswold Water Park, Westonbirt Arboretum, The Royal Gardens at Highgrove and for equine enthusiasts, the Badminton Horse trials and Cirencester Polo Club. The spa city of Bath is less than an hours’ drive away and makes for a great day out.

The cottage’s front door is accessed via a pretty patio garden. The door opens into the living room, and the following rooms are on the ground floor:
Living room The heart of the home, this elegant, spacious living area is full of character, with a lovely bay window flooding the room with light. This room contains:

A door from the utility room leads out into the stunning walled garden, with a pretty lawn area which is bordered by a box hedge, lavender, hydrangeas and roses in the summer. There is an outdoor table with seating for four in front of the kitchen window, and a charcoal barbecue is provided. A gap in the wall leads through to another beautiful garden area, bordered by pretty flowers, grasses and plenty of fruit trees. This part of the garden descends towards a final lawn area, providing stunning views of the Cotswold hills and countryside beyond.

Free on-street parking is available in front of the property and throughout the village.
