Star Cottage is an immaculately presented Cotswold stone property which sleeps four guests, in two elegant bedrooms, with two bathrooms. Dating back to 1845 to house the family of a worker at the local brewery, there are many wonderful character features such as the exposed Cotswold stone feature wall, exposed beams, flagstone flooring and cosy wood burning stove. These features have been complemented by contemporary design and modern facilities including wireless internet access, a Smart TV, DVD player and Bluetooth speakers. Two picturesque gardens lie to the front and rear of the cottage and free on-street parking is readily available.
Location
Star Cottage is one of a row of six traditional cottages on a quiet lane in the peaceful village of Little Compton. With little traffic besides the occasional horses, this idyllic village benefits from having an attractive Manor House, a historic Norman church and a popular country pub, The Red Lion, just a five minute walk from the cottage.
Little Compton is surrounded by glorious countryside which forms part of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with many lovely country walks and cycle routes on its doorstep. There are also a number of tourist attractions nearby including The National Trust owned Chastleton House and Garden, The Rollright Stones, the Cotswolds Distillery and Batsford Arboretum. The village is close to the popular Cotswold market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Norton and Moreton-in-Marsh, and the much loved Daylesford Organic Farm shop is only six miles away, selling fresh local produce and offering a number of dining options. -"After months of lockdown/not going anywhere, to get away and arrive at such a quaint, peaceful, idyllic 'Star' cottage has been a blessing. So well equipped (we noticed all the final details for 2 and 4 legged visitors), attractively furnished, and clean- this was appreciated/needed at any time but especially now re Covid-19. The thick walls gave respite from the excessive heat this week. Thank you. We will be back.", Tom, Isabell and Abby, August 2020

We're amazed at how well equipped the cottage is from the very basic to the high spec equipment. So tastefully decorated, a picture perfect cottage indeed. Many lovely touches from the fabulously well-equipped kitchen, sumptuous beds, luxury bathroom and really comfortable lounge with smart TV, DVD's and a plethora of books for every interest. As the village has a pub once your day touring the strikingly attractive villages of the Cotswolds you can get a good meal and a beer then chill out back at the cottage in the gardens before curling up with a good book or binging on your TV favourites. The village has some fabulous walks for the dog and family with great vistas from the hill behind the village over the surrounding countryside.", Jeremy, August 2020

Star Cottage is located in a pretty quiet village but ideally located for lovely local walks and visits to the many pretty villages and towns in the Cotswolds. We had many great walks, thanks to the literature and books left in the cottage. The cottage itself is so pretty and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need, a real home from home, and we enjoyed spending afternoons enjoying the sunshine out in the very quiet rear garden enjoying the bird song and the sound of the fountain. I would thoroughly recommend Star Cottage to anyone wanting to stay in and around the Cotswolds.", Jackie, July 2019
