The property sleeps 6+4 guests (the +4 option being two sofa beds in the Bolt Hole’s living room and two sleeping spaces on the landing of the main house). There are two bedrooms and a family bathroom in the main house and a bedroom and ensuite in the Bolt Hole.

Dating back to the 18th century, this lovely Cotswold stone cottage has been beautifully decorated and boasts many character features including wooden beams, exposed stone walls and a cosy, Jotul wood burning stove. The character of the property is complemented by modern facilities, including wireless internet access, three TVs and a well-equipped kitchen and utility room. An attractive landscaped garden links the main house to the Bolt Hole, and off-street parking for two cars is available.

Steps Cottage is tucked away in the heart of the famous market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, one of the larger towns of the Cotswolds. This thriving town is well known for its wide range of shops, pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, as well as the Farmers' Market which takes place every second Thursday of each month, showcasing fantastic local produce. The market square is steeped in history, with its medieval cross and old town stocks, and when the Cotswold wool industry was at its height, the town used to host the annual sheep fairs.

Stow is the highest of the Cotswold towns, sitting exposed at 800ft above sea level on Stow Hill, with gorgeous countryside in every direction. There are plenty of walking trails and cycle routes through woodland, over rolling hills and along peaceful rivers to explore. Also within easy reach are the many lovely villages and market towns of the North Cotswolds, including Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Norton and Moreton-in-Marsh, with a variety of eateries and activities on offer. Just four miles away, Moreton is home to the Batsford Arboretum, boasting 56 acres of stunning parkland and some of the most incredible tree varieties in England.
