The Old Coach House is a stylish Grade II listed property which sleeps four guests, in two bedrooms, with two spacious ensuite bathrooms. The original building was completed in 1897, the year of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, and this former Coach House retains many traditional features from that time, including exposed Cotswold stone walls, the stone entrance archway in the kitchen and upper mullion window on the first floor landing. Intriguingly, a well-preserved historical graphite inscription from its master builder, Walter Hayward of Northleach is framed in the sitting area along with a further chalk inscription dated 1894 believed to refer to the visit of the Queen to Ireland that year.

Recently refurbished to a high standard, the property has a warm, contemporary interior and modern facilities including wireless internet access, a Smart TV and a well-equipped kitchen with underfloor heating, all of which blend effortlessly with the stunning character features. The Old Coach House is located in the beautiful village of Bourton-on-the-Water, often voted as one of the prettiest villages in England. Affectionately referred to as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' due to the low arched bridges that cross over the River Windrush, Bourton has a number of popular pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and shops to enjoy and a wide range of tourist attractions on its doorstep, including the Model Village, the Cotswold Motoring and Toy Museum, the Dragonfly Maze and the slightly further afield Sezincote Gardens and House, a 200 year old Mogul palace.

Bourton is surrounded by the fabulous countryside which forms the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with many walks and cycle routes to explore, including the challenging Winchcombe to Burford cycle route which passes through Bourton itself. Its central location within the Cotswolds makes it a good base for exploring the other lovely towns and villages in the area, including Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and The Slaughters. World famous destinations such as Blenheim Palace, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon and Bath are also easily accessible for day trips.
