Description
Summary
Whistlers Corner is a beautifully presented period cottage, located in the heart of the Cotswolds market town of Chipping Campden, widely regarded as one of England's most picturesque towns. With a wide range of small shops, pubs, tea rooms and restaurants, Chipping Campden is an ideal base for a holiday. It is also surrounded by the stunning Cotswolds countryside, with the 100 mile long Cotswold Way walking trail starting virtually on Whistlers Corner’s doorstep. The many other beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds are all just a short drive away, as are well known places such as the gardens at Hidcote, Stratford-upon-Avon and Blenheim Palace.
Built around 1860, the cottage is one of six that were built in pairs, with canopy porches, Cotswold stone fronts and brick side elevations. Internal character features include oak beams, window seats and a lovely fireplace, with a cosy wood burning stove. The cottage has been furnished in a lovely, warm style, in keeping with the age of the property, and the traditional character is complemented by modern facilities, including wireless internet access, two Smart TV's and a spacious, well presented kitchen/dining room.
Whistlers Corner sleeps four people, in two bedrooms, with two bathrooms. There is a pretty front garden and a spacious courtyard area at the side of the property, creating a pleasant, enclosed outdoor space. Free on street parking is available outside, or close to, the property. Whistlers Corner is perfect for a small family or couples looking for a relaxing break in one of the most idyllic market towns in the Cotswolds, with stunning countryside right on the doorstep.
