Description
Summary
Whitsun Cottage is a beautiful property which sleeps 4+2 guests in two bedrooms (with the +2 option being a day bed and a trundle bed on the first floor landing), with two bathrooms. The front of the cottage is covered by a Virginia Creeper, particularly attractive in autumn, making the cottage stand out in its row.
Dating back to the 19th century, the cottage has a wealth of character features including two exposed stone fireplaces with cosy wood burning stoves, ledge and brace doors and an impressive oak stair-rail. These period pieces have been complemented by contemporary décor and modern facilities, including wireless internet access, a Freesat TV with DVD player and a well-equipped kitchen. There is a pretty courtyard garden to the rear of the property and free on-street parking is available just a short walk away from the cottage.
Location
Whitsun Cottage is situated in the heart of the famous market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, one of the larger towns of the Cotswolds. This thriving town is well known for its wide range of shops, pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and its historical medieval cross and old town stocks. Stow is also close to the popular Cotswold market towns of Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Campden.
Stow is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with many lovely walks and cycle routes right on its doorstep, including the Gloucestershire Way walking trail, a 94 mile trail from Chepstow Castle to Tewkesbury, passing through many pretty Cotswold villages and towns on its route.

Accessibility, health and safety
The property has two floors, which could pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility, or carrying babies, both in terms of their general movement and their ability to quickly exit the house in the event of an emergency.
The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk.
The front door of the property opens onto the street and guests with young children should take particular care to ensure that the children are supervised when the door is opened.
Smoking
No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property.
Other
The property is located on one of Stow's busier roads and some guests may be aware of traffic noise at night. The cottage is, however, relatively close to a junction, so traffic speed is limited past the house.
Photographs
In order to provide you with as much detail of our properties as possible, we sometimes use wide angle photography, which can make certain rooms, or spaces, appear larger than they actually are. Wherever possible, we try to include a floorplan, with detailed dimensions of rooms and areas. If you have any queries regarding the size of any rooms or spaces, please do not hesitate to contact us.
