Will’s Cottage is a beautiful Cotswold stone property which sleeps 4+2 guests, in two bedrooms (with the +2 option being a double sofa bed in the living room), with a contemporary family bathroom. Once the farm’s granary, this charming home away from home features high vaulted ceilings in the bedrooms and boasts exposed wooden beams in every room. These character features have been complemented by modern facilities such as wireless internet access, a Freeview TV with a DVD player, and a well-equipped kitchen.

The attractive patio garden offers uninterrupted rural views, and guests are encouraged to explore the grounds the cottage sits within, ranging from farmland to wildflower meadows and woodland. The conservation work carried out on the farm attracts many species of birds, and barn owls can regularly be seen flying around the cottage. There is off-street parking for up to four cars on the driveway.


Will’s Cottage is located on a working farm close to picturesque Horsley, a peaceful village on the south-western edge of the Cotswolds. This unspoilt village is home to a number of amenities such as the community shop, village hall, children’s playground and sports field, together with a 15th century parish church and popular country pub, The Hog. Just two miles away is the bustling market town of Nailsworth, known for its high quality restaurants, modern art gallery and independent shops.

Horsley is surrounded by breathtaking countryside, with many walks and cycle routes on its doorstep to discover. Kingscote and Horsley Woods, along with nearby Woodchester Park, are Sites of Special Scientific Interest and the latter is owned by the National Trust and includes a play trail, walking trails and a Mansion with its own café. The region offers a range of tourist attractions including Chavenage House, a stately home which features in many period dramas, The Royal Gardens at Highgrove, Westonbirt Arboretum and the Cotswold Country Park and Beach. The village is also well-placed for exploring the many historical towns of the South Cotswolds including Stroud, Cirencester, Painswick, Minchinhampton and Tetbury, and further afield destinations such as Bath, Cheltenham and Oxford are within easy reach for day trips.

French doors from the living room lead out to the lovely patio area which enjoys far-reaching views of the surrounding farmland and countryside beyond. Bright and fragrant flowers spring up between the paving stones, and a vintage plough makes for a wonderful feature. There is an outdoor table with seating for six, a garden bench and a charcoal barbecue, perfect for al fresco dining in the warmer months. The owners’ grounds cover farmland, woodland and wildflower meadows, all of which guests are welcome to explore at their leisure, however please note that due to health and safety reasons, guests are not permitted to walk through the farmyard.

Off-street parking for up to four cars is available on the driveway at the front of the property.
