The village is four miles away from the Roman town of Cirencester, the largest market town in the Cotswolds, and is also close to many other picture-postcard Cotswold villages, including Bibury, Chedworth and Fairford.
Surrounded by the glorious countryside of the Coln Valley, there are many lovely walks and cycle routes to enjoy on its doorstep, and for water sports enthusiasts, the Cotswold Water Park is just a short drive away. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.
For bookings commencing more than 10 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 10 weeks prior to arrival.
All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.
Security deposits
A security deposit of £200 is payable, which is returned after the letting period, subject to an inspection of the property. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival. In the event that the owners, or their appointed housekeepers, have to spend additional time tidying up after your departure, then the cost of this extra time may be deducted from your security deposit. The security deposit is payable prior to arrival at the property, via a bank transfer or a valid debit or credit card.
Occupancy
The maximum occupancy of the property, including its grounds, is six guests, at any point during your stay. Unauthorised over occupancy is a breach of our terms and conditions and may result in the cancellation of your booking and additional charges. Please consult us prior to booking if you wish to discuss the possibility of having more than six guests at the property.
Infants who sleep in a cot do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions, the occupancy figure may only be exceeded by one additional infant.
Pets
Regrettably, pets are not accepted.

Bed linen and towels are provided for guests.

Accessibility, health and safety
The property has narrow stairs which could pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility, or carrying babies, both in terms of their general movement and their ability to quickly exit the house in the event of an emergency.
The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk.

Photographs
In order to provide you with as much detail of our properties as possible, we sometimes use wide angle photography, which can make certain rooms, or spaces, appear larger than they actually are. -"The cottage exceeded our expectations - it was roomy, clean and the garden was beautiful. The surrounding area is lovely and quiet and the village pub makes the best espresso martini! Richard, the house keeper, also called us on arrival to check that everything was okay. We had a lovely and comfortable stay and I would recommend this cottage to all of my friends and family.", Sam, August 2020
-"We had a great family vacation in this lovely cottage. The kitchen is great and spacious, rooms are really comfortable and 2 bathrooms is always a plus! The village is lovely and quiet, local restaurant is only 2 minutes walk from the cottage and the whole countryside is gorgeous. Would definitely recommend", Sarah, August 2020
-"Despite the awful weather we had a lovely mid-week break. The house was clean and cosy with a well-stocked kitchen. We had an excellent pub within walking distance. A short drive away were lots of great activities for the children (rock climbing, forest school, pottery painting). Would highly recommend as it’s a great base to explore the Cotswolds.”, Emma, March 2020
-"Really lovely and cosy cottage in a lovely location. Having a stove fire really made it! Would recommend”, Leila, February 2020
-“What a lovely house, in a beautiful town. Has all the modern amenities, with all the charm of an old house. The host had a Christmas tree and other decorations set up in the house - we really appreciated that effort. Everything was perfect. Wifi is slow, and cell phones are spotty, but that's something out of the owner's control, and it was nice to be a little out of touch with things. I would highly recommend this cottage, and hope to return some time.”,Andrew, January 2020
-“Cottage was lovely and homely. Very well stocked with glasses, plates, pots and pans etc.”, Tim, November 2019

-"Beautiful Cottage in the Cotswolds. The owners were very accommodating with timings and kindly let us stay after the checkout time as there was not another booking, which made a great impression. The lovely kitchen diner was a great room for cooking and chatting in and the large comfy sofas in the front room allowed everyone to have a nice seat infront of the fire. Aga kept the house warm, and heating was on when we arrived. Richard kindly left some milk and bottle of wine which was enjoyed. Great pub across the road with excellent food and garden. Thanks for a great stay, will definitely come again.", Clare, October 2017
-"Fantastic Cottage. Everything perfect. I would definitely stay there again. Very efficient booking, admin, etc.", Diana, October 2017
-"Excellent - one of the best cottages we have ever used." Julie, February 2017
-“We had a really enjoyable time at the cottage. Loved all the features, Aga, wood burner etc . It was very clean and perfect for a break. The kitchen was well equipped, but a little more cutlery would of been good, not that it was a problem. The garden was well maintained and the local pub was really good. The Shower was excellent, very powerful and loved the roll top bath.”, Sally, October 2016
-"My family and I just wanted to say a huge thank you for a wonderful weekend at Winterberry Cottage for the weekend just gone. We all felt it was home from home and none of us wanted to leave! It's a truly gorgeous cottage you have and so very well fitted out. It had absolutely everything we needed and more. We celebrated my mum's 65th birthday and it was great to have some quality family time in such a wonderful location. The bottle of red wine and chocolates was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. We all look forward to returning at some point soon. It's a very special place you have there!" - Karen & family, January 2014
