Complementing the laid-back “something for everyone” experience of this course and clubhouse, the surrounding countryside is dotted with historical villages as well as the vibrant town of Cheltenham only 12 miles away, making for a great choice for a golfing break.
Stay in Stow-on-the-Wold, five miles from Naunton Downs Golf Club, and enjoy trendy bars with wood-fired pizzas or traditional gastro pubs. The popular village of Bourton-on-the-Water is nearby too and would make for an ideal location for a golfing break. When giving the swing a rest, visits to Upper Slaughter and Lower Slaughter, Winchcombe, Broadway and Burford would round off your golfing break in the Cotswolds just perfectly.

The Wychwood Golf Club is just outside the historic market town of Chipping Norton in the North Cotswolds, home to the most famous high street in the region. And it’s not just the shopping that draws visitors to this part of the Cotswolds.

A very conveniently located golf course offering 18-holes in the heart of the Cotswold countryside. Cirencester is the largest town in the Cotswolds and offers visitors a vibrant golfing break. Cirencester occupies an enviable location in the South West Cotswolds and is only 80 miles outside of London. Golfing breaks don’t get much more accessible than this.
Located just north of Cirencester, only two miles out, Cirencester Golf Club caters for all levels and their 450+ strong membership offer a very warm welcome to visitors. Their flexible and “open-door” approach is reflected in the fact that they don’t operate booked time slots, which is ideal for an easy-going golfing holiday.
The course offers an interesting, traditional course, with many of the holes true to the original James Braid design of 1920. Whilst enjoying a convenient location, the course gives views over the surrounding Cotswold countryside, along the Marlborough Downs.

The 128 year old clubhouse facilities are second to none, having recently undergone a substantial refurbishment. Minchinhampton itself lies seven miles east of Stroud and less than four miles from Nailsworth, both offering plenty of places to refuel after a day on the grass.
