Chipping Campden is one of the main market towns in the North Cotswolds, built by medieval traders with wealth created from the wool trade. With many thatched cottages, this is one of the most picturesque towns in the region. A notable feature of the town is the Market Hall which was built in 1627. Originally thought to be used in the wool trade, the main function of the hall was actually to give shelter to local cheese, poultry and butter sellers.

The High Street is relatively small, taking just five minutes to walk from one end to the other, and it has a number of well-regarded eateries ranging from tea houses to dining pubs and restaurants.
