Colin “Why is the cottage not for rental anymore i have been going there for years”
- Colin, March 2024Thank you for your feedback with regards to your stay at Pye Corner Cottage. It's lovely to hear you have enjoyed many stays at the cottage, hopefully you have made some lovely memory's. The reason the cottage isn't available for future bookings, is because the Owner is selling the cottage. We will of course have other property's in our portfolio that I'm sure would suite your needs. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Kind regards Manor Cottages. Property Owner

Wendy “We loved the cottage, it has so much history and is in a wonderful location close to great walking and the delights of Broadway.”
Being able to bring our dogs and have a tiled area in the kitchen where we didn't have to worry about mud on cream carpets was a relief too. The garden in a great size and we loved seeing the newts in the pond. The only thing to watch out for is the low door from the kitchen which caught my partner out a couple of times. But otherwise everything was excellent.
- Wendy, February 2024Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are pleased that you loved the cottage and its location. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

Andy “Lovely cottage in a great location, the dogs really enjoyed the garden.”
One slight point is for winter I think a larger and more functional TV would be a great idea.

Adrian “This is a stunning property in a beautiful location.”
We could not find a fault during our stay. Plenty of walks in the local vicinity that offer amazing views of the countryside. Broadway is a stunning village with shops, pubs and restaurants. We had a brilliant stay and could not recommend this highly enough.
- Adrian, October 2023Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We are so pleased that you loved Pye Corner Cottage and the beautiful village of Broadway. Thank you for recommending. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

L “The cottage is immediately adjacent to the road with all rooms to the front.”
Although the road is 30mph the average speed is more like 50mph and regularly up to 60mph with resulting loud noise making it sound like a racetrack. In particular at the back of 4am 3 cars, a single and then 2 extremely close together pass at an estimate of over 60mph. We were only able to sleep from abou midnight until just after 4am. There is a safety issue as the 2 exits from the house are on the far side of the kitchen from the living room and bedrooms which we found a particular problem when we had a wasp swarm in the kitchen one breakfast time. There is also a security/safety problem as some of the windows don’t shut properly and some can’t be opened. The problem with the condition of the garden furniture raised by an earlier renter has still not been rectified. The general feel of the cottage was not to the standard we expected eg the mattress in the main bedroom was too soft especially at the edges and the mattress topper did not compensate for this.
- L, June 2023Fred “The description to find the key to the house could be a bit better, we had some difficulty finding the key-box.”
A picture would definitely help. Dust nests and corners in the house which had collected dust should certainly not be present in the house costing that serious amount of money. The automatic heating should not have been set that high. Luckily we could change that ourselves a bit. An upgrade for the garden furniture (cushions, parasol) would have been appreciated. We loved the house though
- Fred, May 2023Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We have updated the key collection notes to make that clearer. We've taken on board your comments about the dust and garden furniture and will ensure these are looked into. We're delighted that you enjoyed the house overall, it has wonderful views and is an easy walk into Broadway. Best wishes, Character Cottages Property Owner
Patricia “The property was beautiful but in need of a little bit of improvement such as new garde furniture it was not fit for purpose you could not eat or drink off it .”
Also new door mat No DVD
- Patricia, May 2023Thank you for your comments, which have been passed onto our Managed Services Team to investigate. We are sorry you did not find the DVD player. We hope that you enjoyed your stay. Best wishes Character Cottages Property Owner
Lynda “Beautiful cottage and wonderful garden for the dogs.”
The views from the kitchen table were delightful. This cottage is an ideal location for walking into Broadway Village.
- Lynda, April 2023Thank you for your lovely comments. We hope you enjoyed exploring around Broadway and hope to welcome you back again. Best wishes Character Cottages Property Owner
Sally “Lovely property.”
The only downside was that there wasn’t enough hot water for our baths in the evening. There was only two of us so we would have expected to be able to have consecutive baths but we couldn’t. Otherwise it was great!
- Sally, February 2023Thank you for providing this feedback and we're glad you enjoyed your stay at the cottage. We have passed on your comments regarding the hot water to the owner and we hope this didn't impact your stay. Best wishes Character Cottages Property Owner
Gordon “A wonderful cottage in a perfect setting.”
Being over 6 foot had its challenges but this did not affect the holiday. Just a sore head! We will definitely stay again. Garden was great for the dogs. Thank you for your hospitality and attention to detail.
- Gordon, February 2023Thank you for your lovely feedback, we're pleased that you and your dogs enjoyed your stay in Pye Corner Cottage. It is a wonderfully characterful property with many original features believed to date back to the 17th Century. We look forward to welcoming you back again. Best wishes, Character Cottages Property Owner
Chris “Lovely comfortable cottage great location to Broadway really great walks ...”
Lovely comfortable cottage great location to Broadway really great walks especially to Broadway Tower & Snowshill Garden a bit unkempt as leaves proved a problem could have done with a garden rake No light exiting from kitchen otherwise well equipped kitchen -needs a cheese grater loved the range master cooker Would definitely stay again
- Chris, December 2022Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you found the cottage so comfortable and enjoyed the location. We would love to welcome you again. Best wishes Character Cottages Property Owner
Jonathan “Lovely property would stay there again many times!”
- Jonathan, October 2022Thank you for this review - we're delighted you enjoyed your stay at Pye Corner Cottage and would love to welcome you again. Character Cottages Property Owner
Pauline “The cottage is stunning.”
But although the carpets & bathroom were clean, there were a large amount of cobwebs, dead flies, spiders & crane flies littered about. This was not acceptable, especially with a 3 year old with us. There was no real welcome pack, not enough towels, loo paper, or washing detergents. Luckily we brought our own. The decor was very tired & quite sparse. Too many wires around the TV. The beds were horrible & very extremely uncomfortable, especially the single beds. The quilts were too thin, with no other thicker ones available to change to or more spare pillows. The cost of the week was not cheap, so we thought more could be down to make the cottage welcoming. My husbands great grandfather & family lived in this cottage for 300 years & worked in the village at the Lygon Arms. It was a tied cottage then. It was a very special time to stay there but spoilt by the frugal & not so clean look of the place internally. Whoever does the cleaning & furnishing there is not adequate.
- Pauline, September 2022Thank you for your feedback with regards to your stay at Pye Corner Cottage. I'm really sorry to hear your stay wasn't up to our usual high standards. If you had got in contact with us, we would have sent Housekeeping over straight away to address any concerns. With regards to welcome packs and consumables, we do only provide a starter pack, so enough to get you through a couple of days of your stay. We will arrange to get the Housekeeper to check the beds, so thank you for this comment. We will also speak to the owner about winter duvets and extra pillows, some owners just haven't put them out yet, due to the weather being so warm. Now we are getting into the colder months, starter packs of logs will be put into cottages with wood burners to. We hope you still had a lovely stay and made the most of the area. We are lucky to have so many places to visit with children to, i hope you manged to pop to the Wild Life Park or Adams Farm, both great with kids. Kind regards Character Cottages Property Owner
Philip “It was a return visit.”
All is great & we love the location & the outside space . However as I’ve shared in an e mail already , we do feel some absolute basics were missing on this occasion :- Dishcloth, hand towels for kitchen & for cloakroom, kitchen scissors, cups & saucers, large place mats , washing up bowl, insides for bathroom bin .
- Philip, September 2022Thank you for returning to Pye Corner Cottage. We sincerely apologise that some basics were missing on your stay, we have addressed this with housekeeping and hope you enjoyed your stay. Character Cottages Property Owner
Nick “Lovely old cottage in a perfect location, just outside the village centre.”
Great garden & easy walks from the cottage made it a perfect place to stay with our dogs! Would definitely recommend to friends & family - thank you very much.
- Nick, July 2022Fabulous to hear you enjoyed your stay at Pye Corner Cottage, that enjoyed the garden and nearby walks with your dogs in the area. Thank you so much for the recommendation. Best Wishes, Character Cottages. Property Owner
Volnei “Simply outstanding!”
Place amazing. We will definitely be back. God bless all.
- Volnei, June 2022Thank you for your lovely comments - much appreciated! Property Owner
Andrew “Enjoyable stay all round.”
Nice big garden, comfortable accommodation, good facilities. Certain areas need updating/improving (e.g. shower tray doesn't drain quickly enough, sealant around tray needs replacing, kitchen bins need replacing, no main lights in two bedrooms). All in all an excellent property to hire in a beautiful area. We would return again in the future.
- Andrew, June 2022Fabulous you had an enjoyable stay and you enjoyed all the cottage offers. We appreciate your comments and will get them addressed. we look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Property Owner
Jane “Hi, we were there to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday .”
... and this is the first time I have arrived somewhere and been disappointed. The grass was very long and the garden generally unkempt. The key to the door is bent so hard to enter the property. There was no loo roll in the cloakroom, no teatowel, oven gloves or towel in the kitchen, microwave was filthy (I have photos), no kitchen scissors, all knives blunt, random kitchen items, no clingfilm, foil or anything, fridge bulb gone, kitchen dustbin broken and rusty, sofa and cushions no life left in them etc.... need I go on? For over £683 for 2 nights I FEEL ROBBED. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
- Jane, May 2022Thank you for providing this feedback and we're grateful to you for bringing these matters to our attention. We apologise if the garden and cottage were not presented to our usual high standards and are now making every effort to address them. Due to the recent weather, the garden has grown very quickly and we hope this didn't impact too much on your stay. Regarding the matters of cleanliness, our housekeeping team have been informed. Once again, our sincere apologies. Property Owner

- David, Apr 2021Ebony “Lovely cottage in a great location.”
Perfect for a half term break with the kids.
- Ebony, Sep 2020Simon “Could not recommend this stay more.”
We had a perfect, cosy stay at the stunning cottage, which manages to stand out in the stunning village of Broadway. The village itself is a short walk away, and we thoroughly enjoyed the shops and restaurants on offer. Plenty of public footpaths right on the doorstep for walks as well. Our four legged member of the family was very impressed!!
- Simon, Sep 2020Lisa “Lovely cottage with a gorgeous garden.”
We sat in the mornings and watch a family of voles scurrying around while we drank our tea and then had lovely walks in the afternoons. The owner was very responsive when we had an issue and we would definitely go back.

A delicious sponge awaited us on arrival. Big, flat garden, perfect for families with dogs and/or children. A ten minute walk into Broadway which is a lovely village with plenty of good shops, cafes and restaurants. Would love to stay here again.
- Julia, Apr 2019Karen “It was our second visit to this cottage.”
Again, we had a wonderful time, our 2 dogs really enjoyed the safe, enclosed garden. Cottage has still retained it's quirky features which we love. A couple of comfy chairs to enjoy the garden would have been appreciated but other than that will be returning as it is a fantastic cottage. The owner kindly left a delicious chocolate cake and milk for our arrival which was very much appreciated. A wonderful cottage in a beautiful location.
