“Such a beautiful cottage with so much character!”

A wonderful place to stay and only a short drive away from many of the beautiful villages of the Cotswolds. Check-in was a very easy process, communication was excellent, and the place was very clean. Excellent place for a weekend getaway.

The property

Summer Hayes is a stunning Cotswold stone holiday home which sleeps five guests, in three lovely bedrooms, with two bathrooms. Dating back to the 1700s, the property has an abundance of character features including exposed wooden beams, exposed Cotswold stone, antique furnishings and an inglenook fireplace. Modern facilities such as wireless internet access, two TVs and the electric flame effect stove complement the traditional touches, and the variety of interior design styles featured throughout the cottage gives each room its own unique personality. There is an enclosed garden at the rear and free on-street parking is readily available at the front of the property. Summer Hayes is situated in picturesque Childswickham, an unspoilt village in the Vale of Evesham. The quiet lanes are lined with properties of various architectural styles including those of traditional Cotswold stone and half-timbered black and white cottages. Childswickham benefits from having a popular country pub, and just two miles away is Broadway, one of the best loved Cotswold villages and home to a number of restaurants, pubs, galleries, tearooms and independent shops. Childswickham is surrounded by wonderful countryside, with many walks and cycle routes on its doorstep to discover. The Cotswold Way long distance walking trail passes through neighbouring Broadway and can be followed towards the chocolate box village of Stanton or the bustling market town of Chipping Campden. Childswickham is well-placed for experiencing all that the North Cotswolds has to offer, as well as for visiting further afield destinations such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, Hereford, Oxford and Blenheim Palace.
