The property

Nailsworth 3.6 miles The Creamery is a historic Grade II listed property which sleeps four guests, in two stylish bedrooms, with three bathrooms.

Dating back to the 17th century, this wonderful home away from home sits within the grounds of a former working farm and retains a traditional façade and a wealth of character features.

Original Cotswold flagstone flooring, exposed beams and exposed stone walls have been beautifully complemented by contemporary interiors and modern facilities, such as high-speed wireless internet access, a Smart TV and underfloor heating throughout the ground floor.

The enclosed garden enjoys scenic views, and off-street parking for two cars is available. The Creamery is situated in peaceful Nympsfield, an unspoilt village.

Just a short walk from the village is Woodchester Park, a National Trust owned wooded valley with a play trail, walking trails and an impressive Grade I listed Victorian mansion.

Surrounded by stunning countryside, there are many walks and cycle routes on its doorstep including the famed Cotswold Way long distance walking trail which passes to the west of the village and takes in the viewpoint at Coaley Peak and the Neolithic burial mound of Uley Long Barrow. Nympsfield is well-placed for visiting the many historical towns of the region including Nailsworth, Stroud, Tetbury, Painswick and Cirencester, all home to a number of independent shops, cafe's and restaurants.

Stroud hosts the multi award-winning Farmers’ Market every Saturday, the Five Valleys artisan market, and was voted as the best place to live by The Sunday Times in 2021 due to its independent spirit, vibrancy and glorious green spaces.

There are a range of tourist attractions in the area such as The Royal Gardens at Highgrove, Westonbirt Arboretum, Slimbridge Wetland Centre, the Cotswold Gliding club and the Cotswold Water Park, and further afield destinations including Cheltenham, Bath, Bristol and Oxford are within easy reach for day trips.

The Creamery is the ideal country retreat for a family or for a group of friends who are looking for a relaxing break in the South Cotswolds.

The front door opens directly into the stylish kitchen, and the following rooms are on the ground floor, all with underfloor heating: Kitchen/dining room: Finished to a high standard, the spacious open plan kitchen boasts charming features including exposed stone, an arrow slit window and the exposed brickwork of the original bread oven.

Well-equipped for home cooking, this room contains an electric oven and four-ring induction hob, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, microwave, cafetiere, a wooden table with seating for four and a two-seater sofa; Living room: This stunning dual aspect living room has an abundance of character with exposed beams, exposed stone walls, exposed brickwork from another bread oven and original flagstone flooring.

Perfect for relaxing after busy days exploring, this room contains a wood burning stove, two three-seater sofas, two armchairs, a coffee table, side tables, a Smart TV, Bose Bluetooth speaker and a small selection of games and OS maps; Utility room: A continuation of the kitchen, with original exposed stone wall with pattress plate, this room contains a washing machine and a built-in storage cupboard; Shower room: Accessed via the utility room, this room contains a walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin. Stairs lead up from the living room to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 1 with ensuite bathroom: Elegantly styled, this wonderful bedroom has exposed beams and a lovely view across the garden towards the church.

This room contains a king size bed, freestanding wardrobe with storage drawers, a scalloped chair and a wall mirror.

A small step up leads into the spacious ensuite which contains a freestanding bath with handheld shower attachment, walk-in rain shower with separate handheld shower attachment, toilet and wash basin; Bedroom 2 with ensuite bathroom: This striking bedroom with exposed beams overlooks the historic barn opposite and contains a super king size bed or two single beds, a freestanding wardrobe, bedroom chair and full length mirror.

The modern ensuite contains a large walk-in rain shower with separate handheld shower attachment, toilet and wash basin. Mostly laid to lawn edged with flower borders, the attractive enclosed garden sits at the front of the property and enjoys views of the neighbouring farmland and parish church.
