“When we arrived the Rayburn oven and heating was not turned on.”

Therefore the cottage was cold. The oven took 3 hours to heat up to allow us to cook our meal, hence we didn't start eating until 8pm. The log fire only had 2 half logs and a small amount of kindling, without any paper to start the fire. We therefore had to go into Moreton to obtain this. There was a bag of logs left outside the property on Saturday when we returned in the afternoon. The back of one of the wooden chairs was broken and came away when lifted - fortunately nobody had sat on it. ...

There was a bag of logs left outside the property on Saturday when we returned in the afternoon. The back of one of the wooden chairs was broken and came away when lifted - fortunately nobody had sat on it.. The chairs in the kitchen were very uncomfortable in general and the description on the website was not accurate in this regard. The rubbish bin in the kitchen had not been emptied when we arrived. Lack of workspace in kitchen made it difficult to prepare food. Why is there only 1 teaspoon in the property?

Thank you for your feedback with regards to your stay at One Church Cottage. I'm sorry to hear the Rayburn oven wasn't lit for your stay, i can only apologies for this. Our Maintenance Team went in to fix the handle and must have forgot to turn it back on. With regards to the lack of logs and kindling, this is because we only provide logs in Character properties up until March, after this period it's up to guests if they wish to purchase them. Again im sorry if this was not clear. With regards to the chair, this have now been fixed, so thank you for advising us on this and i will arrange for the HK to check the kitchen is equipped with enough of everything for a comfortable stay in the future. Kind regards Character Cottages. Property Owner

Todenham is conveniently located three miles away from the bustling market town of Moreton-in-Marsh, a thriving town with a wide range of shops, pubs and eateries, and a direct train line to London.

The popular towns and villages of Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden, Shipston-on-Stour, Broadway and Bourton-on-the-Water are all easily accessible, as are the nearby tourist attractions of Batsford Aboretum and the award-winning Cotswolds Distillery.

It also boasts it's own train station and lies on the intersection of the Paddington rail line from London. The town hosts the Moreton-In-Marsh Show, one of the UK's largest one-day agricultural shows, as well as the Moreton Beer Festival, an annual French Market, and a large outdoor market every Tuesday. Many walks and cycle rides through the beautiful rolling countryside of the Cotswolds can be enjoyed from the centre of the town, with the Macmillan Way, Heart of England Way, Gloucestershire and Monarch's Way all running close by. Less than five miles away is Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds. This ancient market town has played host to many fairs since the 12th century and today holds a biannual Gypsy Horse Fair, craft fairs and monthly farmers' market. Close by is Bourton-on-the-Water, which is known as the Venice of the Cotswolds as the River Windrush runs through the centre.
