    “Absolutely amazing stay.”

Property and surroundings were stunning. We loved discovering the different artwork and the eclectic mix. Also grateful for the soap, shampoo and conditioner that was available, as well as the well stocked kitchen. The Aga was a treat to work with. // For the owners only… One suggestion, for the bathroom at the end of the great hall, maybe a hook to hang a hand towel, or a shelf over the loo.

The property

Grade II listed Artisan Hall is a truly unique Cotswold stone property, peacefully located at the end of a lane, opposite the beautiful church of St Andrew's, in the village of Toddington.

The hall is the largest part of what was originally the stable block for the nearby Toddington Manor, a very imposing, grade I listed manor house, built in the 19th century by Charles Hanbury-Tracy, 1st Baron Sudeley, whose marble family tombs can be seen in the church.

Toddington Manor is now owned by Damien Hirst, the renowned artist, who is restoring it to use as a gallery for his works.

The village of Toddington is peacefully located, in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold countryside, just four miles from Winchcombe, six miles from Broadway and 11 miles from Stow-on-the-Wold, making Artisan Hall well placed for exploring the surrounding countryside or visiting the many beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds. Artisan Hall has many unique character features, with the centrepiece of the property undoubtedly being the large grand hall, which was once the village hall.

The owner has furnished this Cotswold stone walled room in an interesting, eclectic style, including a Bedouin tent, free-standing hammock and a large wood-burning stove in the hall.

There are many other character features throughout the property, including stone mullion windows, wooden and flagstone floors, oak beams and two further real fires.

The unique character of the hall is complemented by its modern facilities, including wireless internet access, and a flatscreen TV. The hall sleeps a maximum of eight people, in four bedrooms, with two bathrooms (one en-suite).

There is a lovely, enclosed garden in front of the hall, overlooking the beautiful local church and off-street parking is available for a number of cars.

Artisan Hall is the perfect venue for friends or families looking for a unique property, in a stunning setting.

The front door of Artisan Hall opens into a large entrance hall, complete with a grand chandelier.

The large ground floor of the property contains the following rooms: Grand hall: The large centrepiece of the property, with an abundance of unique character, including a grand arched ceiling, with wooden beams and chandeliers, exposed Cotswold stone walls, porthole windows, a painted wooden floor, large wood burning stove, hammock and Bedouin tent.

There is comfy seating for eight, a dining table with seating for ten; Snug: Providing access from the kitchen and living room to the main entrance hall, as well as having an outside door, the snug contains an arched window, a wooden floor with tiled hallway, real fire, and comfy seating for three or four; Living room: A bright, dual aspect room, with an arched window and a stone mullion window, wooden floor, real fire, comfy seating for six to eight, and an Apple TV with a DVD player; Kitchen/breakfast room/orangery: Beautiful stone mullion windows allow light into the kitchen from the partial glass ceiling in the breakfast room/orangery.

The kitchen contains free standing units, an Aga, Smeg dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster (please note that there is no conventional oven at the property, however, there is an additional plug-in single induction hob, to augment the Aga hobs, if required).

The breakfast room/orangery contains exposed Cotswold stone walls, a painted wooden floor and a wooden table with seating for eight; Pantry: Accessed via the breakfast room/orangery, the pantry contains a fridge freezer and a washing machine/tumble dryer; Downstairs cloakroom: Also accessed via the breakfast room/orangery.

Contains a toilet and wash basin; Bedroom 3: Accessed from the entrance hall, this bedroom contains a grand, super-king size, 4-poster bed.

The room is dual aspect, with one window looking into the grand hall and one window looking out to the garden and the church beyond; Bedroom 4: Containing a king size bed, this bedroom is accessed directly from the grand hall.

The bedroom has a very high, domed ceiling and a raised porthole window.

The bedroom has its own en-suite shower room and a separate en-suite toilet and wash basin. Stairs lead up from the living room to the large first floor landing, which contains comfy seating and has lovely views of the church from its porthole windows.

At the end of the landing, a balcony overlooks the large entrance hall.

The landing and all the first floor rooms have lovely wooden floors and oak beams.

The following rooms are accessed from the landing: Bedroom 1: A dual aspect room, with one window looking out to the church.

Contains a king size bed; Bedroom 2: Contains a double bed; Family bathroom: Contains a bath with a shower attachment, a separate walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin. Artisan Hall's good sized garden is to the front of the property and is very peaceful, looking out towards the lovely church.
