    “It was our second visit to The Snug in Minchinhampton, it is the loveliest and cosiest cottage to spend a holiday.”

    Dianne has thought of everything to ensure a peaceful and relaxing holiday and to totally get away from it all. Everything you need is there, from cooking and washing facilities, to books, magazines, board games and a super comfortable bed. We had an amazing stay, we will return!

This charming character cottage, No 35 West End, can be found in the Gloucestershire village of Minchinhampton, in the heart of the Cotswolds.

No 35 West End is an ideal location for couples looking for a romantic getaway in the Cotswolds, thanks to its excellent location and interior which boasts original features such as exposed stonework and beams.

Step into the warm and welcoming sitting room, where you can unwind in front the Smart TV with Freeview with the added warmth from the woodburning effect gas fire.

You’ll have no problem whipping up a delicious meal for two in the well-equipped kitchen, which features a handy slimline dishwasher, which can be savoured over a bottle of wine at the dining table for two which overlooks the garden.

If the weather permits, why not enjoy the remainder of the day's sunshine while dining alfresco in the private, enclosed garden.

After a day of adventure, chuck any muddy clothes in the utility's washing machine, before enjoying a refreshing rinse in the walk-in shower.

As your eyes grow heavy, climb the stairs to an idyllic king-size bedroom where you can snuggle up with a good book before drifting off.

Visit the historic market town and dine at the Crown Inn, The Kitchen café, or The Chip Shed for a traditional fish and chip supper to be enjoyed in the comfort of No 35 West End.

Explore the Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons, owned by the National Trust, which spans 500 acres and offers panoramic views and three excellent 18-hole golf courses, sure to entice any keen putters, after perusing the local weekly market held in a magnificent 17th-century Market House.

Nailsworth and Stroud are the next two destinations, where you can sample fresh seafood at William's streamside restaurant or visit the Museum in the Park or the award-winning farmer's market to pick up a mouth-watering souvenir.

In the Cotswolds AONB, you'll find a plethora of beautiful hiking and biking trails, including the renowned 102-mile Cotswolds Way.

The National Waterways Museum and the Gloucester Museum, as well as Gloucester's former prison and the 13th-century Blackfriars Priory, are all worth a visit if you want a taste of the city in Gloucester.
