Hillside is a beautiful house in a lovely friendly village perfect for 3 generations It was so well equipped from everything in the kitchen to the masses of children toys for both inside and out Please be aware back door to washing line opens onto ungated driveway and road which is a serious hazard On a minor note a parasol for the garden would be really useful as there is no shade

- William, May 2021Ravin “Great location if you want to get lost in the Cotswolds.”
The house itself is beautiful and spacious. A room just for kids to have all the toys they could imagine was a god send. Also a dog friendly place Go for walks, go and rest, play games. Great family place to make memories.
- Ravin, May 2021Tim “Thank you for saving our Christmas, what a wonderful house to stay in!”
We had a great Christmas here and will surely come back! Merry Christmas.
- Tim, Dec 2020Evita “Hillside cottage was everything we were hoping for for our week away.”
We were a group of 11, grandparents, parents and kids aged 5-11. It is safe to say that no one wanted to leave and we could have easily all stayed another week. The house is very well maintained and in a great location. There is a lovely park with a huge field 3 mins walk away and we spent most mornings there walking the dog and admiring the views. The kitchen is a great size for everyone to gather. The showers are powerful and there is always hot water, no matter how many people there are having a shower at the same time. Only minor disappointment was the size of the garden. The grassed area is limited, but with such a huge field nearby this was easily forgotten. I am already planning my next visit to the Cotswolds!

- Sue, Mar 2020Karen “Exceptional property, spotlessly clean, spacious, beautiful, warm, well equipped, stayed 4 nights and loved it.”
Perfect for a large family gathering, including dog! Little things like the towels being luxurious were appreciated. Enjoyed the location - a great local pub (dog friendly too!) and local walks. Nearby Bourton on the Water had loads for all of us to do, we had to go twice :). Generous welcome items went down a treat too, even the dog was well looked after! All in all would highly recommend.

Peacefully situated in the centre of the picturesque village of Naunton, Hillside is surrounded by the stunning countryside which falls within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This pretty village benefits from having a well-regarded pub, a challenging yet enjoyable golf course and a recreational park complete with children’s play area. Naunton is well-placed for visiting the many picture-postcard towns and villages of the North Cotswolds including Stow-on-the-Wold, Winchcombe and Bourton-on-the-Water, all home to a variety of independent shops, tearooms, pubs and restaurants. Many pleasant footpaths pass through Naunton including the Wardens’ Way which heads into the neighbouring village of Guiting Power, just two miles away. Though a sleepy village, it benefits from two popular pubs, a bakery and a tearoom, and just a short drive away is Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park, a fun day out for all the family. Slightly further afield is Temple Guiting with the Temple Guiting Pantry, a true Cotswold gem which serves delicious food daily and has a lifestyle shop next door with products ranging from homewares to jewellery and wine. Naunton is also within easy reach of many tourist destinations such as Oxford, Blenheim Palace and Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Hillside is the perfect choice for a gathering of friends or family who are seeking a relaxing getaway in the heart of the glorious Cotswolds. From the gravel pathway, two steps lead up to the front door in the porch, alongside which there is a bench and boot rack. About the location
NAUNTON
Bourton-on-the-Water 4 miles; Stow-on-the-Wold 5 miles.
Naunton is positioned on either sides of the River Windrush, making it very picturesque as any of its neighbours in the hills between Stow and Cheltenham. Mentioned in the Doomsday Book as Niwetone. The hill overlooking the town is great for climbing up and viewing the church and the village. The Black Horse Inn is the local pub which provides great views into the heart of the Cotswolds.
Note: The super-king-size bed is zip/link and can be changed to twin on request and there is an additional double sofa bed available on request. Note: For the comfort of future guests, we ask that dogs remain downstairs, stay off the furniture and that no trace of a dog remains after your departure. Note: Drying logs stored in the carport are not available for guest use. Note: The bedrooms in the eaves have some sloping ceilings which could pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility. Note: The property’s large lawn is on a slope and so young children should be supervised outside at all times and in addition to this, the owner has politely requested that children do not climb on the dry-stone walls for their own safety. Note: No stag/hen or similar parties. Note: We politely request that guests do not disturb the neighbours and that loud music is not played outside after 9pm. Note: The garden is maintained by a professional gardening service every Wednesday, this work will be completed as quickly as possible and with as little disturbance as possible to guests.
