Hillside is a beautiful house in a lovely friendly village perfect for 3 generations

Hillside is a beautiful house in a lovely friendly village perfect for 3 generations It was so well equipped from everything in the kitchen to the masses of children toys for both inside and out Please be aware back door to washing line opens onto ungated driveway and road which is a serious hazard On a minor note a parasol for the garden would be really useful as there is no shade

Finished to a high standard, the property has been lovingly furnished by its owners to create a truly special holiday retreat with a wide range of modern facilities including wireless internet access, two Smart TVs and a sleek and well-equipped kitchen. There is a roaring wood burning stove in the stylish living room and a beautiful conservatory offers lovely scenic views. A large garden wraps itself around the property and off-street parking for up to five cars is available on the gravel driveway. Peacefully situated in the centre of the picturesque village of Naunton, Hillside is surrounded by the stunning countryside which falls within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This pretty village benefits from having a well-regarded pub, a challenging yet enjoyable golf course and a recreational park complete with children’s play area. The gallops of Grange Hill Farm overlook the valley below and horse racing enthusiasts will be able to see trainers from the renowned yard of Nigel Twiston-Davies exercising their top-class racehorses. Naunton is well-placed for visiting the many picture-postcard towns and villages of the North Cotswolds including Stow-on-the-Wold, Winchcombe and Bourton-on-the-Water, all home to a variety of independent shops, tearooms, pubs and restaurants. Many pleasant footpaths pass through Naunton including the Wardens’ Way which heads into the neighbouring village of Guiting Power, just two miles away. Though a sleepy village, it benefits from two popular pubs, a bakery and a tearoom, and just a short drive away is Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park, a fun day out for all the family. Slightly further afield is Temple Guiting with the Temple Guiting Pantry, a true Cotswold gem which serves delicious food daily and has a lifestyle shop next door with products ranging from homewares to jewellery and wine. Naunton is also within easy reach of many tourist destinations such as Oxford, Blenheim Palace and Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Hillside is the perfect choice for a gathering of friends or family who are seeking a relaxing getaway in the heart of the glorious Cotswolds. From the gravel pathway, two steps lead up to the front door in the porch, alongside which there is a bench and boot rack. The door opens into an entrance hall, off which are the following rooms: Living room: This wonderful dual aspect room has been elegantly furnished in neutral tones with subtle touches of colour. A warm and inviting room, it contains a fireplace with a cosy wood burning stove, a corner sofa which comfortably seats four, a three-seater sofa and armchair with matching footstool, two additional footstools, a Smart TV with Apple TV and DVD player, Sonos speaker, small selection of DVDs, games and books, as well as a dog bed; Bedroom 5: This tastefully decorated room has access out to the garden and contains a king size bed, freestanding wardrobe and wooden chair; Snug: This second living area is a brilliant playroom for young children and doubles up as a sixth bedroom if required. This room contains a two-seater sofa, two armchairs and footstool, a selection of games, books, outdoor games and a chest of drawers for storage. Stairs lead up from the hallway to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Master bedroom with ensuite bathroom: Located in the eaves, this stylish triple aspect bedroom has stunning views overlooking the village and countryside beyond. It contains a king size bed, freestanding wardrobe, chest of drawers and comfy chair. The modern ensuite contains a walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail; Bedroom 2: Overlooking the back garden, this well-proportioned bedroom contains a super king size bed or two single beds, a chest of drawers, wall hooks for hanging clothes, a large wall mirror and a comfy chair; Bedroom 3 with ensuite bathroom: This bright and well presented bedroom in the eaves has fabulous rural views and contains a double bed, built-in wardrobe and a dressing table with stool and mirror. A beautifully maintained enclosed garden surrounds the property, with a manicured lawn, leafy shrubs and luscious green mature trees. A paved patio bordered by a dry-stone wall wraps itself around the conservatory and is home to a Rattan furniture suite with seating for ten, along with a charcoal barbecue. A height adjustable coffee table completes the suite, making this a great spot for enjoying home cooked meals in the summer sunshine. In addition to this, an attractive cast iron bench and an outdoor table with two long benches provide further seating areas from which to relax and unwind. About the location

NAUNTON

Bourton-on-the-Water 4 miles; Stow-on-the-Wold 5 miles.

Naunton is positioned on either sides of the River Windrush, making it very picturesque as any of its neighbours in the hills between Stow and Cheltenham. Mentioned in the Doomsday Book as Niwetone. The hill overlooking the town is great for climbing up and viewing the church and the village. The Black Horse Inn is the local pub which provides great views into the heart of the Cotswolds.

Note: The super-king-size bed is zip/link and can be changed to twin on request and there is an additional double sofa bed available on request. Note: For the comfort of future guests, we ask that dogs remain downstairs, stay off the furniture and that no trace of a dog remains after your departure. Note: Drying logs stored in the carport are not available for guest use. Note: The bedrooms in the eaves have some sloping ceilings which could pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility. Note: The property’s large lawn is on a slope and so young children should be supervised outside at all times and in addition to this, the owner has politely requested that children do not climb on the dry-stone walls for their own safety. Note: No stag/hen or similar parties. Note: We politely request that guests do not disturb the neighbours and that loud music is not played outside after 9pm. Note: The garden is maintained by a professional gardening service every Wednesday, this work will be completed as quickly as possible and with as little disturbance as possible to guests.
