    “Some cobwebs, would have appreciated a dryer in the home and the house was either extremely cold or very hot; other than that the pictures don’t do it justice and the rooms were spacious!”

Nestled on the outskirts of the pretty village of Leonard Stanley, a few miles from the bustling market town of Stroud in the Gloucestershire countryside, are these two charming stone cottages. These heart-warming cottages are steeped in history and benefit from some of their original features such as their exposed beams. Spend your evenings in the sitting rooms and cosy up with your loved ones reminiscing about the day's events whilst the TV hums in the background. Discover the farmhouse-style kitchens, complete with all the necessary appliances for cooking up some delicious meals, whilst the dining areas are perfect for gathering of an evening and toasting to a wonderful holiday. You can choose from a range of bedrooms, all individually styled with furniture for storing your personal belongings and bathrooms for enjoying a refreshing soak in the tub at the end of a tiring day. There is a small communal gravelled garden where you can take a cup of tea in the morning and watch the sun rise with a good look in hand, or dine alfresco. Set on the outside fringes of the Cotswolds AONB, there are a number of trails for walking and cycling opportunities to get involved with such as the Laurie Lee Wildlife Way and Stroudwater Canal Walk. Make sure you visit the nearby town of Stroud for its award-winning farmer's market, considered to be one of the most popular in the UK. The Stroud district is home to a range of historic houses, such as the 12th century Berkeley Castle, the Elizabethan Manor House of Chavenage House and the Grade listed Frampton Court. There are a number of golf courses within driving distance for those keen golfers or those just wanting a fun-filled afternoon, whilst the keen watersporters can enjoy a coat trip at the Cotswold Canal Trust.
