The property

Teasel Cottage is a picturesque double fronted Cotswold stone property which sleeps five guests, in three cosy bedrooms, with two contemporary bathrooms. Dating back to the 19th century, this home away from home has lovely character including exposed wooden beams, an exposed Cotswold stone wall and a wood burning stove. These features have been complemented by modern facilities such as wireless internet access, a stylish electric flame effect stove in the dining area, a Smart TV and a well-equipped, modern kitchen. There is allocated off-street parking for one car and an attractive garden at the rear. Teasel Cottage is situated in the vibrant market town of Winchcombe, an ancient Saxon town with impressive architecture, independent shops, cafes, country inns and fine dining restaurants. Known as the walking capital of the Cotswolds, there are countless footpaths on its doorstep, many of which incorporate sections of the Cotswold Way long distance walking trail which covers over 100 miles of spectacular countryside. In addition to stunning scenery, the town is also home to a variety of tourist attractions including the historic Sudeley Castle and the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway which makes a stop in Winchcombe to pick up passengers on its 28 mile round trip. Winchcombe is well-placed for visiting the many wonderful villages and towns of the North Cotswolds such as Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water, The Slaughters and Stow-on-the-Wold. The nearby regency town of Cheltenham offers a wide range of attractions, perhaps the most well-known being the Cheltenham Festival, one of the top horse racing events in the UK. Further afield destinations such as Bath, Oxford, Warwick Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon are easily accessible for day trips. Teasel Cottage is the perfect home for a family or small gathering of friends who are looking for a relaxing break in a picturesque market town surrounded by breathtaking countryside.
