Emily “We had the most wonderful time in your beautiful cottage.”
I want to say a special thank you for allowing us to re arrange our holiday at such short notice after we unfortunately had COVID back in October. This trip was planned as a belated 50th Birthday celebration for my Mother and it was worth the wait. The cottage was so homely with everything you could want and need, my Mum had tears in her eyes when the first thing she spotted inside the cottage was the Christmas tree - such a small but lovely touch. We had a very memorable week away and thank you ...

Lorraine “Lovely cottage, even had deer in the field at the bottom of the garden.”
Set in a lovely village, central to all the touristy villages. Will definitely return to Blockley. We had a great time!
- Lorraine, Jul 2021Katie “A very cosy house in a beautiful spot.”
The village of Blockley is very pretty and has a lovely feel. The house itself is incredibly well equipped: a full kitchen, comfy living space and board games! We lit the stove most nights downstairs too. Couldn't have asked for a nicer place to relax for a couple of weeks. Would recommend Lammas Cottage to anyone, couple or family
- Katie, Dec 2020Hannah “We had a lovely few days in the Cotswolds - Lammas Cottage was cosy and well-equipped, with a beautiful view and great local walks.”
We particularly enjoyed evenings by the fire!
- Hannah, Nov 2020Caroline “Very cosy cottage in a lovely setting with beautiful views over the valley behind.”
The garden would have been a fantastic place to sit out if the weather had been better. The kitchen is well kitted out with everything you might need and the instructions and directions provided were clear and well set out. The bedrooms are a little small, particularly if you’re tall, but to be expected in a cottage, beds were very comfy.
- Caroline, Oct 2020Sam “Perfect hideaway for a weekend escape to the Cotswolds.”
Wonderful house full of character perfect for the three of us. Walks right on your doorstep and a lovely cafe in the village. Would highly recommend.
- Sam, Oct 2020Simon “Lammas Cottage is full of character and comfort with efficient use of the layout.”
Views across the valley are glorious and Blockley village has a lot to offer along with lovely walks in the local hills.
- Simon, Sep 2020Faith “Beautiful home with everything you could possibly need.”
Small but very homely and clean. Beautiful walks nearby and would highly recommend the Churchill Arms pub in Paxford for food-incredible Sunday roast! And lastly the views from the back of the house are stunning! Would highly recommend for a countryside getaway.
- Faith, Sep 2020Sandra “Beautiful and well presented cottage.”
Clean, tidy and everything you could want from a home from home. The views are stunning and the village is beautiful. I will definitely be returning!
- Sandra, Sep 2020Rosanna “Cosy home with a beautiful garden and a lovely view.”
Noise does travel across the houses next door so keep that in mind if you are enjoying dinner outdoors. But within the home its quiet and peaceful. The beds are cosy and lush and rather quaint. The stairs a slightly steep between the floors so that may be a challenge for some. The house itself was clean, tidy and welcoming.
- Rosanna, Aug 2020Juliet “A lovely cottage in a super village.”
Great walks from the cottage.
- Juliet, Mar 2020Sian “We stayed over half term for four nights.”

Was so well equipped, with such amazing views and so cosy. The kitchen had everything you could want with premium equipment such as Robert Welch and la creuset knifes and saucepans. The views from the cottage were beautiful and the location was ideal in a lovely little village. Would love to return and would highly recommend.

Small but very cosy bedrooms (with comfortable mattresses), lovely kitchen with wood burner, and a beautiful lounge with excellent views. Everything you need!

The cottage had everything we needed and we particularly loved the views over the back fields and watching the deer grazing in the field behind.

I would stay here again.
- Sarah, Aug 2019Simon “Attractively furnished cottage on the edge of lovely Cotswolds village.”
Great location for exploring on foot or by car. The cottage is cosy and the bedrooms are small (as accurately described in the particulars). But we were a party of 6 adults and managed fine.
- Simon, Jul 2019Caroline “Lovely cottage, great views of countryside, we would definitely recommend a stay!”
- Caroline, Jul 2019Lara “Your property was absolutely gorgeous and we where all blown away by how much character it had to help us get into the spirit of the Cotswolds.”
We had beautiful weather which helped lots and went on some lovely walks, thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely cottage.
- Lara, Feb 2019K “Wonderful place.”
Adorable quaint home and very comfortable. Loved our stay!
- K, Feb 2019Amy “The cottage was lovely and the kitchen area definitely the heart of this house.”
The bedrooms are quite small but perfectly fine for a couple of days. The house was so well equipped with all the glasses, pot and pans you can want for 6 people. We would definitely stay here again!
- Amy, Jan 2019Seona “What a lovely, thoughtfully presented traditional cottage.”
It was immaculately clean with plenty of good quality linen and towels. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the equipment you might need in the course of your stay. Blockley itself is a lovely wee village, the cafe is great and the shop has all the essentials. We can recommend the Great Western Arms for both a nice evening out and also a great Sunday lunch. What a great week we spent there - our second trip to the Cotswolds. We wouldn't hesitate to return to Lammas Cottage.
- Seona, Jul 2018“Excellent property and location.”
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Darron

- , Jun 2017Susie “We (Mum, dad, two children 7 & 2) had a wonderful stay at Lammas cottage.”
The cottage is lovely and well equipped and the garden beautiful with stunning views. We would highly recommend.
- Susie, Jun 2017David “I couldn't recommend this cottage enough as a great, comfortable base to explore the area.”
The cottage itself is very well equipped and was really nice and clean when we arrived. As it's an old cottage, the bedrooms aren't huge, but this only added to the character of the place. There is a lovely kitchen, living room and back garden to relax in the evenings or after a local walk. Blockley itself is a lovely small town, and we found the local shop / cafe had everything we needed locally over a three day stay. The location is very handy to drive around and explore the beautiful local towns. It's only a 5-6 minute drive to Chipping Camden which has lots of restaurant options in the evening. We had a lovely time and would gladly stay again!
- David, Apr 2017“Beautiful cottage and great views from back garden.”
Really nicely equipped kitchen. Would recommend to friends/ anyone. Francis, Grace, Ryan, Dean, Sam and Elise

The cottage is one of a row on a quiet road and the rooms at the back of the cottage benefit from fabulous views of the surrounding Blockley Valley. The historic village of Blockley is very peaceful and picturesque, yet benefits from having two pubs and a community owned village shop & café, as well as a historic Norman church in the centre of the village. Numerous beautiful country walks are accessible directly from the cottage and Blockley is well located for visiting the many beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds. The cottage has been lovingly refurbished by its owner, and boasts a wealth of character features, including exposed Cotswold stone walls, oak beams, stone mullion windows, and a wood burning stove. This traditional character is complemented by its modern facilities, including wireless internet access, a flatscreen TV and a well presented kitchen. Lammas Cottage sleeps a maximum of six people, in two small bedrooms on the first floor (each with a standard double bed, accessible from one side only), plus a larger twin room in the attic. Lammas Cottage is ideal for families travelling with children, although it is also possible to accommodate six adults. There is a lovely enclosed garden to the rear of the property and free on street parking is readily available. The room contains a wooden dining table, with seating for six, and a well laid out kitchen, which contains an electric oven, four ring induction hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is also a comfy sofa and a cosy window seat for relaxing around the wood burning stove. Heading back up the stairs, the ground floor contains the following rooms: Living room: A lovely, dual aspect room, with stone mullion windows, wooden floors, beautiful ornamental fireplace, and cosy windows seats to admire the stunning views from. There is comfy seating for six and a flatscreen TV with a DVD player; Cloakroom: Contains a toilet and wash basin. Steep stairs lead up from the living room to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 1: A small, cosy and well presented room, which contains a double bed (accessible from one side only); Bedroom 2: With lovely countryside views, this bedroom is also small and cosy with a double bed (accessible from one side only); Family bathroom: Contains a bath with an overhead shower, toilet and wash basin.
