“We chose Wood cottage for a family weekend, as an early celebration for my husbands 70th Birthday, and what a great choice it was.”
The cottage is at the end of a farm track, in a beautiful position, totally on it's own, so we didn't have to worry about our grandchildren being too noisy or the dog barking. The Hot Tub was the hit of the weekend, and was very well used, amazing to sit back in the evening and watch all the stars, satellites etc, with no light pollution. The house is very well equipped, very spacious, comfortable & exceptionally clean. All the beds were comfortable, plenty of wardrobe space, chest of drawers etc. The lounge/sitting room is huge, and can easily fit everyone in, which was great. The owner, Jane, came and introduced herself, and asked if we had everything we needed, explained about the hot tub, and the central heating/water, as well as giving us some local information, days out etc.
Tenbury Wells is the closest town, it's a pretty little market town, the countryside from the farm to the town, was so pretty. We had a lovely Chinese take away from the Singapore Garden,& a great Sunday Roast at The Feathers, on the way into Tenbury Wells ( You will need to book this, very popular) We didn't really go out and about much, as we felt so comfortable and relaxed in the cottage, we didn't need to! We walked down to the farm, as my grandson wanted to show us all the machinery, animals etc. We met Colin, Jane's husband & the farmer ( as the boys called him!) who was also very friendly, and happy to chat about the farm.
If I had to be picky, the only couple of things would be that the bath towels were very small, and the duvets are well worn, and could do with changing. But we all agreed we would love to return to Wood Cottage, maybe in the summer, and a Christmas there would be amazing.
