“Such a beautiful cottage.”

It had all the amenities plus more. Everything worked well, the shower was amazing and never lost heat (even with 6 of us in line). Beds were very comfy. Location was great too, you're right in town. It was easy to find, park and check in. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you.

The cottage also has a very well equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches like chilled Prosecco in the fridge. The cottage is very close to supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, and is surrounded by lovely walks. The neighbours were so welcoming - my car battery decided to die and three different neighbours helped me to jump start it.

“Perfect location, within minutes walk you can reach a supermarket, cafes, and nice restaurants.”

The cottage itself is very stylish and homely. The decor is up to date and has feel good factor. It is clean and in good order throughout. There is a small coutyard which you can sit in as well. The owners are very responsive and helpful, also leaving a few nice touches for us guests. Would highly recommend this cottage and appreciate the hospitality. Thank you for a great stay!

In a perfect location with shops and restaurants nearby. We had a great lunch at the Blur Boar and a fab dinner at Whistlers. The place was very clean and Janet kindly agreed for a late check out at no extra cost.

The location was excellent, a stone's throw away from some lovely pubs and a little high street. The house was beautiful and had everything you could think of including some handy bits of food for cooking! Also we had lots of info provided regarding parking, check in check out etc. So everything was super clear and they replied to any questions really quickly. Would definitely recommend to anyone!!

The Christmas decorations made it so festive. Nice treats left for us. Easy check in and out and we found parking on Church Lane accessible. We loved the fireplace. Communication was great. Only suggestion is a mattress upgrade. Very good location near other Cotswold villages.

“This was the best accommodation I have ever had the pleasure to in.”

The cottage is so well equipped, we arrived to a lovely vase of fresh flowers and a bottle of prossecco in the fridge. The beds were so comfortable, all four of us had really good nights sleep. We frequented the pub at the end of the road and the staff there were so welcoming (The Chequers). Brilliant location, lovely homely cottage would definitely like to stay there again sometime soon.

The amenities are all there—a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining area, a smart tv in the living room, a delightful garden, and even a washer/dryer! The beds were very comfortable as well. Chipping Norton is a lovely town with some several good restaurants and pubs. It is also near other wonderful towns such as Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water, Oxford and Stratton on Avon. We would highly recommend this home for your vacation in the Cotswolds.

To see such blooms on such bleak and cold days was most important. The cottage was warm and inviting. The beds comfortable and crispy clean in their white linens. Kitchen well equipped for all our home entertaining as outside was so cold. Many thanks to the owners for their eye to detail and welcome pack. Most appreciated. I sometimes think that it’s the small things that leave the biggest impression.

The Smithy is a beautiful Cotswold stone cottage, located on the corner of a quaint street in Chipping Norton, one of the North Cotswolds’ famous market towns. As well as having a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants, Chipping Norton is ideally placed for exploring the Cotswolds region, whether walking, cycling or riding through the beautiful countryside, or exploring the many other lovely towns and villages just a short drive away. Chipping Norton is also well placed for visiting other world famous attractions, such as Blenheim Palace, the dreaming spires of Oxford, or Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. This light and airy cottage has many character features, including exposed Cotswold stone walls, wooden floors and doors, and a cosy wood burning stove. Fully refurbished in 2016, the character of the cottage is enhanced by its modern facilities, including a new, well presented kitchen, wireless internet access and a SMART TV. The Smithy sleeps five people, in three bedrooms, with a lovely family bathroom. There is a small, attractive courtyard garden and on street parking is readily available. The cottage is perfect for a family or a group of friends looking for a relaxing break in a beautiful village, surrounded by the lovely Cotswold countryside. The Smithy is on the corner of a quiet road, in the heart of Chipping Norton. The front door is accessed directly from the pavement and opens into the main ground floor living space. The following rooms are on the ground floor: Living/dining room: The stylish living room contains an exposed Cotswold stone wall, wooden floor and a cosy wood burning stove, There is a large sofa, a snuggle chair and an armchair, as well as a flat screen SMART TV. The dining area contains a large wooden dining table, with seating for six; Kitchen: The contemporary kitchen is well laid out, and contains an electric oven, four ring gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, combined washing machine and tumble dryer, plus a kettle, toaster and a Nespresso coffee machine (without capsules); Cloakroom: Contains a toilet and a wash basin. Stairs lead up from behind the dining area to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 1: A bright and airy room, which contains two single beds; Bedroom 2: Another elegant room, which contains a double bed; Bedroom 3: The standard setup of this room is with a single bed; Family bathroom: A stylish, modern bathroom, which contains a bath with overhead shower and handheld shower attachment, toilet and wash basin. At the rear of the cottage is a small, elegant courtyard garden, which contains a bistro table and seating for four.

The ancient town of Chipping Norton, steeped in history and culture, is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the shadow of the Rollright Hills in this unspoilt area of Oxfordshire. Chipping Norton boasts a popular weekly market, numerous book and antique shops, many cafes, restaurants and pubs serving excellent food and local ales, art galleries, a museum and a thriving theatre. Chipping Norton is surrounded by the pretty limestone villages of the Cotswolds and offers many walks and cycle trails from the town centre, together with a Lido, perfect for a relaxing swim at the end of a busy day. Blenheim Palace, Rousham House and Gardens and numerous National Trust properties are close by, and a little further afield Stratford Upon Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare, and the magnificent university town of Oxford are a real delight.
