At Character Cottages we know that your furry friends are an important member of the family, and that’s why we offer plenty of pet-friendly cottages in the Cotswolds.

Now, to celebrate National Pet Month, running from 1st April-7th May 2018, we are offering one lucky dog parent a fabulous dog-friendly break in one of our charming Cotswolds cottages.

The prize includes a wonderful 4-night stay for 2 adults and up to2 well-behaved canine companions at the beautiful Alice Cottage in Blockley.

To enter all you have to do is share your favourite photo of your pet on holiday with us on social media.

 

How to enter

For your chance to win a fabulous dog-friendly cottage stay in the Cotswolds, simply share a photo of your pet on holiday with us on either Facebook or Twitter, using #PetsOnHoliday and tagging Character Cottages.

On Facebook tag us using @CharacterCottages. On Twitter tag us using @CharacCottages.

It’s important to make sure you use the above tags, and make sure your post is set as public, or we might not be able to see your entry.

Entries can be submitted as:

A public status or tweet on your own Twitter or Facebook page tagging us
A comment on our Facebook status or tweet
A visitor post posted on our Facebook page

Your photos don’t need to be of your dog, they can also be your favourite feline, beloved bird, gorgeous guinea pig or any other pet.

From all entries we receive we will narrow down a shortlist of 20 based on those entries which receive the most likes, loves and favourites across Facebook and Twitter. So make sure to get sharing your entry with all your friends to get their vote!

Remember, only likes on the original post will be counted as votes so make sure your friends like your original post, not shares of the post.

When we have our shortlisted 20 entries, or fantastic judging panel of bloggers and photographers will choose a final winner.

 

The Prize

Alice Cottage dog friendly cottage in the Cotswolds

The prize up for grabs is a lovely 4-night stay at the stunning Alice Cottage in Blockley, for 2 adults and up to 2 well-behaved, medium sized dogs.

Alice Cottage is a beautiful stone cottage located in the picturesque village of Blockley, perfectly situated for visiting the charming local pubs and exploring the area on scenic walks.

The cottage has been lovingly refurbished to include all the modern comforts you need, including central heating, wi-fi, and an LED TV, while also maintaining the traditional features, including a wood burning stove and exposed wooden beams. The cosy cottage is the perfect place for a romantic and relaxing getaway.

The cottage also features a pretty garden with a raised terrace, from which you can take in the stunning countryside views.

Blockley is well-located for visiting the popular market towns of Chipping Camden, Moreton-in-Marsh, and Stow-on-the-Wold, and also provides access to destinations including Stratford-Upon-Avon, Oxford, and Blenheim Palace.

The prize can be taken from any Monday between 5th November-3rd December 2018, subject to availability at the time of booking.

Andy started out his dog photography work when he was just a teenager, when his own beloved border collie cross served as his first doggie model. Over the last five years as a professional dog photographer, Andy has photographed thousands of dogs of all breeds. Andy’s work focuses solely on dog photography which allows him to bring true passion and knowledge to his work.
